“After some days Paul said to Barnabas, “Let us return and visit the brethren in every city in which we proclaimed the word of the Lord, and see how they are.” (Acts 15:36)

This week we will take some extra time to consider Paul’s first visit to Philippi. It happened during this second missionary journey. As we observed on Sunday, Paul’s faith was contagious. So, one at a time, let’s look again at those “7 Marks of a Contagious Christian.”

#1: Paul partnered with others.

Paul and Barnabas; Paul and Silas; Paul and Timothy; they all sound right. Why? Because Paul understood his need for others and never really tried to do it alone. The people involved in the partnership may have changed but one thing didn’t change—Paul seemed to always have a partner!

Partnership is not a sign of weakness. Actually, it is a sign of strength. In the Body of Christ, we are called to walk together. Look at this list of things the Scripture says about our lives with “one another.”

be devoted to one another in brotherly love;
give preference to one another;
encourage one another;
build up one another;
be of the same mind with one another;
accept one another;
admonish one another;
care for one another;
serve one another;
kind to one another;
subject to one another;
bearing with one another;
forgiving one another;
abounding in love for one another;
comfort one another;
seek after that which is good for one another;
motivate one another to love and good deeds;
confess your sins to one another;
pray for one another;
fervently love one another;
hospitable to one another;

So, how is your walk? Do you have partners in your life? Don’t try to walk it alone—bold faith thrives in the context of bold friends.
